A small accounting firm that is specialized to service the art sector and not for profit organizations is searching for Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper. Qualifications & experience
  • A Cert IV in Finance or a Bachelor Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge in Xero. A Xero Advisor certificate is preferred.
  • Practical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Prefer candidates who are going, or planning to go, through the CA/CPA program.
  • Extensive knowledge using Excel & Word is a must.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within multiple teams.
  • Ability to take control of the tasks and responsibilities hands on.
  • Highly attentive to details.
  • Ability to meet competing deadlines.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • An extensive list will be provided to selected candidates.
    • Responsible for the bookkeeping and accounting of various clients.
    • Accounts payable & receivable, payroll, end of month reconciliation and reporting.
    • Preparation of BAS, IAS and superannuation lodgments.
    • Annual reconciliations including workcover, GST, PAYG, superannuation and other accounts as required.
    • Knowledge of TPAR, Payroll Tax & Workcover estimates is highly preferred.
    • Work directly with the clients’ management under supervision of one of our partners.
    • An extensive list will be provided to selected candidates.
